• Dr. Ahmet Altiner is a top-rated dermatologist practicing on Manhattan's Upper West Side, where he provides men, women and children with state-of-the-art care based on each patient's unique needs and goals. At UWS Dermatology and Skin Care, Dr. Altiner offers treatments for an array of medical issues, including care for adult and teen acne, hair loss, nail diseases, warts and allergic skin conditions. In addition to medical dermatology, Dr. Altiner also offers patients cosmetic skin treatments, including laser resurfacing, fillers and Botox® and Dysport® to help skin appear younger, plumper and rejuvenated. Because he does not participate in any network insurance program, he is not restricted by insurance carrier requirements and is able to spend as much time as possible to ensure each patient's needs are addressed using techniques and approaches based not on insurance protocol, but on each patient's real needs. Committed to providing a truly “personal touch,” Dr. Altiner performs all procedures and handles all aspects of appointments, from personally taking patient histories to performing follow-up, communicating by phone, text and email to ensure every patient is attended to. Dr. Altiner completed his bachelor's degree at Columbia University and his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, followed by an internship in internal medicine and residency training in dermatology at NYU. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Altiner is also an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Weill Cornell Medical College and maintains hospital affiliations with Mount Sinai School of Medicine and The Brooklyn Hospital Center, where twice he received the Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Altiner speaks both English and Turkish and welcomes new patients from throughout the New York City metro region.
