All our peanuts are grown in-house so we are able to assure rigorous seed purity standards are met. This ensures we are putting out a quality product enriched with health benefits. In order to keep harvesting, cleaning, shelling, sizing, and shipping our peanuts to you, we make sure to stay informed on any and all peanut related news and share the findings with you too! International Peanut Group (IPG) is the research arm of Algrano Peanuts. Through traditional breeding and modern screening, IPG develops High-Oleic varieties with higher yield, better grade, and a shorter growing season. There is also ongoing work on Value-Added Characteristics (VAC). An extensive and diverse germplasm base, consisting of over 2,000 breeding lines and over 50 advanced lines of the four market types, is maintained and evaluated in multiple countries. The size and scope of the program allows for efficient implementation of advanced line evaluations and selections in a wide range of growing conditions. Customers are able to participate in the selection process to obtain a product that meets specific market needs. Algrano Peanuts carefully develops and maintains non-GMO, High-Oleic peanut varieties with an emphasis on yield and grade. We work with Spanish, Runner, Virginia and Valencia market types. The seed is grown in-house, assuring rigorous seed purity standards are met. The seed is harvested, cleaned, shelled, sized and shipped to customers for Certified Seed. Our product has been used in many popular products such as candy bars and chocolate covered peanuts. 236 is a high oleic Spanish variety with a runner plant type. The kernels tend to be small and round.
