We have made several trips to Bali, Indonesia and Thailand, traveling throughout the countryside to small villages and towns. There, craftspeople work at small family shops preparing rough materials into finished products, working long hours for very little money. Most villages specialize in a specific craft: silver jewelry, lacquer-ware, woodcarving, wicker, pottery, stone carving or dying fabric. None of our items are mass-produced or factory made. Products vary in size and color, representing handmade, quality products. Our jewelry is made from .925 sterling silver mined in Indonesia, decorated with conch shell, abalone, star shell and beach coral. Our woods, which comply with the Lacey Act for import, are ebony, banana, mango, papaya, sugar, teak, sono, mahogany and jackfruit.
