• Bay Area Saws & Service is a saw sharpening shop that specializes in benching, tensioning, repairing and sharpening large band saws for lumberyards and mills.
  
  We've been in business since early 1990. Jonathan Byers, tired of the scorching sun and endles stress of his general contracting business, purchased Bay Area Saws & Service in 2005. He thought that the saw shop looked like an interesting challenge, and a fun business to be in.
  
  With a lot of time and hard work he repaired and cleaned up all the existing machinery, upgraded to a new tipper, and installed an auto bench machine. Jon is always performing maintenance and improving the company’s machinery to ensure that every blade that leaves the shop is absolutely perfect.
  
  We pick up and deliver to lumberyards from Stockton to San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Monterey, Salinas, Hollister and all towns in between. Customers who are not in our area can ship saws to us for sharpening. U.P.S., FedEx and Golden State Overnight are here on a daily basis.
