About Us

  • After a 20 year career at two prestigious Monmouth County law firms, Mr. Bazzurro opened the Law Offices of John T Bazzurro, LLC on July 1, 2014 to better serve his clients and the Monmouth County community at large. Mr. Bazzurro is licensed to practice law in both the State and Federal Courts in New Jersey and New York. He received his Juris Doctorate degree cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from Wagner College. As a result of his years of experience as a general litigator and personal injury lawyer in Monmouth County and throughout the State of NJ, Mr. Bazzurro has been board certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney. Mr. Bazzurro’s experience at his two prior law firms has allowed him to obtain the perspective of both a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney as well as a lawyer representing insurance companies. This unique perspective allows him to aggressively advocate on behalf of his clients regardless of whether his client is a plaintiff or a defendant in the litigation. Because Mr. Bazzurro has been previously hired by insurance companies to represent their insureds, he understands how insurance companies handle claims and litigated matters. By being familiar with and understanding the insurance companies’ strategies, he is able to recognize and overcome these potential pitfalls while representing injured parties. Further, his familiarity with the insurance companies’ strategies and procedures allows him to utilize them when representing defendants in litigated matters. Because Mr. Bazzurro has the past experience of working at larger firms, he understands how larger law firms handle litigated matters. He has also realized how clients could potentially lose their individual identities while clients at these larger firms. Accordingly, Mr. Bazzurro’s strives to provide the caliber of representation provided in a larger firm with the personal attention that clients often receive from smaller firms. His present practice includes the representation of individuals primarily in personal injury matters including motor vehicle accidents, slips and falls, construction accidents, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical malpractice, nursing home malpractice and abuse and other general negligence type claims. However, his background also allows him to effectively represent clients in other types of general civil litigation such as employment discrimination claims, contract disputes, collection matters, Consumer Fraud cases, insurance coverage issues and the defense of claims where an individual or company did not have proper insurance coverage in place. Mr. Bazzurro’s experience also includes a judicial clerkship in the Superior Court of New Jersey for The Honorable Philip Freedman, J.S.C. and the now Federal District Court Judge Katherine Sweeney-Hayden, U.S.D.C.J. He also completed an internship with the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice in Newark, New Jersey. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Freehold Township Republican Club for several years, as well as a member of the Planning Board of the Township of Freehold where he resides with his wife and two daughters.
