Unlike other Armed Forces branches, The California Army National Guard serves a dual state and federal mission. Meaning, we answer to both the state of California and the federal government. Whether it's a domestic hurricane response within the communities; or, supporting active duty Army abroad, California Army National Guard Soldiers are always where we are needed most.

The incredible versatility of the California Army National Guard enables us to respond to domestic emergencies, combat missions, counterdrug efforts, responding to wildfires or floods, civil disturbances, search and rescue, border patrol missions.
