About Us

  • About us...
The Chef’s Shoppe is all about bringing quality to your kitchen. We believe preparing a delicious meal is a gateway that brings family and friends together. The dinner table is a place to reconnect with family after a long day. Our goal here at the Chef's Shoppe is to make sure that cooking is fun and enjoyable for the entire family. And what better way to accomplish that goal than providing the perfect cooking needs for every kitchen? We pride ourselves on being the local, friendly, gourmet kitchen store that strives to provide our customers with excellent service!
At the Chef’s Shoppe, we want to be more than just a store where you can buy “stuff”. We want to answer your questions, help you find solutions to your problems and, we want to enrich your lives through our service and our products.

    Why We Started.
In January 2006, Nancy and Scott Schneider purchased the Chef’s Shoppe. Nancy ran the day-to-day operations including the purchasing for the store while Scott did all the back-end bookwork. In July of 2009, Nancy and Scott (with the help of their employees and friends) moved the shoppe to its current location increasing the store to 4,000 square feet. Homemade Fudge was added the same year.

Who needs popcorn? Nancy and Scott decided everyone does. So in May 2012, the Chef’s Shoppe expanded again, taking over the 2,500 square foot space adjacent to the existing business and adding popcorn. But they didn’t start small – offering over 70 flavors of popcorn every day, the Chef’s Shoppe entered the popcorn scene in a big way. Scott, having officially retired after 32 years with AT&T the year before, was the head “popologist”. With the help of his merry band of popping and coating specialists, they turned out hundreds of gallons of popcorn every week.

Since the expansion, plenty of changes have taken place. Now TJ Schneider oversees and runs the daily popcorn operations. The shoppe has also taken on a new store manager, Lisa Mulhall, a new buyer, Bethany Pritchard, to assist Nancy with the growing business.
