About Us

  • I’m an experienced neurophysiologist, which gives me an incredible depth of knowledge for diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological conditions in my patients in Santa Monica, California. I practice general neurology and also have subspecialty training in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology. I completed an ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) accredited clinical neurophysiology fellowship through the Neurology Department at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In this role, I was among the first group of fellows to be trained at their new Ronald Reagan Westwood Medical Center in 2008. Prior to UCLA, I completed an adult neurology residency at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. All of my neurology training was completed locally, which gives me excellent working relationships with both academic centers. I worked full time for the UCLA Department of Neurology before entering private practice, and I remain part of UCLA’s Neurology Department as an unpaid guest faculty member. I was invited to teach the residents after I was awarded their Fellow Teaching Award in 2009. At Santa Monica-UCLA, I have been part of an EEG reading panel. I see hospital patients exclusively at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, and I’m contracted with Medicare and most PPO insurance plans. I grew up locally, after moving to Santa Monica from South Africa in the first grade. I went to Franklin, Lincoln, and then I graduated from Santa Monica High School. I completed my undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and then attended an osteopathic medical school in Southern California. I live in Santa Monica with my wife and our three children, who attend Santa Monica public schools. When not spending time with my family, I also enjoy volunteering at the Venice Family Clinic, which I’ve done since I was a UCLA fellow in 2008.
