About Us

  • At Corridor Legal, we represent entrepreneurs, startups, businesses and the individual and institutional investors who fund them. Our sole objective is to provide quality legal advice and work product at a reasonable cost. We bring big firm legal experience without the big firm overhead and expense. Your startup or business is lean, why use a bloated law firm?

We have structured Corridor Legal as Florida's Lean Business Law firm. Paying for high-rise office space does not add value for clients, it just drives overhead and costs. Representing many startups and private businesses, we have left all that overhead behind and focused on what does drive value--seasoned legal judgment and relevant perspective. We run our firm like you run your startup and we pass those savings on to you. After all, startup law can be lean too.

We understand startups because we not only have decades of experience representing startups and startup investors as lawyers, we are also serial startup founders ourselves. We also have operating experience with institutional investors, have been paid advisors evaluating startup/early stage investment deal-flow for venture capital investors and have served as lawyers in venture capital and hedge fund formation, fund operation and in closing numerous private equity transactions on behalf of private and venture capital funds, startups and later-stage companies.

In order to be effective counselors, startup lawyers must be routinely involved in structuring, forming and negotiating and closing early-stage financing transactions. If not, general corporate lawyers simply do not understand reasonable market terms and trends that properly advise startups on prevailing market terms for these investments. This lack of real world experience results in higher transaction fees, onerous terms for startups and failures to even close startup financing transactions. When it comes to structuring your startup for success, properly addressing investor protections, creating legal relationships--first amongst startup founders and later including startup investors, we understand "market" terms. We have a significant network of early-stage investors, mid-stage investors, investment bankers, and technology companies and we bring that network and perspective for the benefit of our clients.

Corridor Legal: Florida business law by Florida business lawyers--offices in Melbourne and Orlando but we practice law throughout Florida.
