Davenport Motor Company was originally founded in 1929 by the late David W. Davenport as a Pontiac-Oakland dealership in downtown Rocky Mount, NC. Four locations and four generations later, Davenport, is still family-owned and operated, and has grown into two separate, exclusive dealerships: Davenport Buick-GMC and Davenport Honda, located side by side on a 12-acre Autopark site at the intersection of Highway 64 By-Pass and Winstead Avenue, serving Rocky Mount, Nashville, Spring Hope, Tarboro, Roanoke Rapids, Battleboro, Enfield, Whitakers, Sharpsburg, Elm City, Wilson and surrounding areas.
