Dr. David Korfin is a podiatrist or foot and ankle doctor. He is Board Certified in Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He specializes in reconstructive foot surgery with a special interest in bunion and hammertoe surgery, endoscopic heel surgery, sports medicine and wound care management, including diabetic foot care. Dr. Korfin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburg in 1978. He then received his doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine in 1982 from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. In 1984, he completed a two year surgical residency at the Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program. Dr. Korfin has been in private practice in Sugar Land, Fort Bend County, and Houston since 1984. His practice provides care to patients of all ages, and he has a special interest in helping athletes maintain foot and ankle health to effectively pursue their athletic goals. Dr. Korfin strives to provide a personalized treatment plan utilizing state-of-the-art medical and surgical techniques provided in a warm, caring and compassionate environment.
