About Us

  • First I would like to thank you for taking the time to know me! I have been a full-time professional REALTOR since 1999 and have thoroughly enjoyed my profession. In good times and bad, real estate remains the single most important investment that a person can make. I have assisted hundreds of Buyers and Sellers alike with their real estate transactions serving the entire Greater Charleston area. I have sold homes as far as Greenville and Prosperity, SC! My clients are more than just "clients" we build lasting relationships and friendships and I love to see them throughout the years. My clients know that I am always available to them as a professional but more importantly as a friend. I am a native Charlestonian born right here in Charleston at Roper Hospital downtown. I have seen much growth in the Lowcountry over the past couple of decades. I was here during Hurricane Hugo - the one that every local knows where they were and what they were doing during its passing over. I was here when the James Island Connector was completed and we James Islanders all drove across it - back and forth - at least a few times in one day just to say we were among the first! I was here when the famed "Grace" came down and the new Arthur Ravenel Bridge took her place. My first attempt at the Cooper River Bridge Run was across the new bridge. Over the past few years we have seen Farmers Markets coming back both in Marion Square, Summerville and Mount Pleasant. Its wonderful to be able to purchase fresh produce, meat and even local artwork and crafts at these markets which celebrate a long farming history in the Lowcountry. My husband and I love taking hikes throughout the area often visiting the beaches, state parks and local parks. Our two dogs have a special liking for the James Island County Park Dog Park for the expansive run area and lake where Tonka, our lab, loves to swim and fetch. We have had the pleasure (if you can call it that?) of hiking to the top of Table Rock and tent camping at so many of our state and national parks. Moving recently to Summerville has opened up a whole new area to explore and we take our time making sure not to miss a moment. Between Cypress Gardens, Middleton Place, Drayton Hall and Magnolia Plantation, the splendor of nature is always on display from times gone by. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend dining at Middleton Place. All local food - most actually from the working plantation itself - and prepared with the timeless recipes from the period. Delicious! My passion is helping people. I love working with First Time Home Buyers as I think I have a bit of "teacher" in me. I take the time to explain fully the process and make sure there is an understanding before committing to a home. I listen to my clients and search on their behalf properties that meet what their needs are. I also enjoy working with Investors as I have the ability to see past the current conditions of properties and see the potential. I am a real estate investor myself and pride myself with giving my clients accurate information to base decisions on. I am a Loss Mitigation Specialist and have experience working with Short Sales, REO's and Foreclosures. Thank you, again, for taking the time to get to know me. I hope I have conveyed even just a little bit of who I am and look forward to working with you. Deanna Kastner, REALTOR, CNS
