Mudd, DMD's Family Dentistry with a Gentle Touch, Dr. Mudd delivers hands-on, personalized, and compassionate care to each and every patient.  Dr. Mudd has been practicing general dentistry since 1981, where she began her career as a hygienist. She later went back to school to become a dentist and graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1989. She opened her practice in St. Matthews in 1995. Dr. Mudd comes from a family of medical professionals and found her calling in dentistry. She focuses on comprehensive exams and educating her patients on the role dental health plays in overall health. With over 20 years of experience in general dentistry, she is highly skilled and experienced in services such as screenings and treatment for periodontal disease, preventive care, cosmetic dentistry, and sleep apnea. Dr. Mudd believes a smile is the greatest impression you can make, and she is committed to taking the time to teach her patients how to take care of their gums and oral health. If a treatment is recommended, she uses an intra-oral camera to help patients understand why a treatment needed and what exactly it entails. She continues to stay current on the best that dentistry has to offer by attending a number of continuing education courses on a regular basis. She is also a member of the Louisville Dental Society, the Kentucky Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Kentucky Association of Women Dentists.
