About Us

• I am a licensed social worker. I earned a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Penn State.
  
  For over nine years, I worked at the Butler Family Counseling Center. I developed expertise in many areas, including depression, anxiety, panic and marital and family problems. I opened my own practice in August 1998.
  
  Since that time, warmth and gentle humor have been the hallmark of my counseling style.
  
  I bring to my counseling practice a strong sense of liberal family values. Everyone is welcome regardless of race, religion, sexual preference or physical and developmental challenges.
  
  Confidentiality will be strictly adhered to, as it is the cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. There are times when an exception has to be made, such as in a life threatening situation. If this occurs I will discuss this with you as soon as possible.
  
  I accept many different insurance plans. Please ask about your health insurance coverage when you arrange your first visit.
