About Us

  • George Palomino, MD is Board Certified in Cardiology and practices at the Northeast offices of Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio. Seeing a gang member who had been shot and killed wasn’t the only lesson Cardiologist Dr. George Palomino learned from visiting his father, an emergency medicine physician, at work. He also witnessed how physicians interacted with each other, with nurses and with their patients. “That inspired me to become a physician at an early age,” says Dr. Palomino. “Cardiology was also one of my dad’s favorite topics—he had always found it fascinating. He thought cardiologists were brilliant clinicians who could diagnose cardiac problems without a lot of tools. When I went to medical school, I also discovered that the field of cardiology is evolving faster than most other fields in medicine and that was very appealing.” After completing his Bachelor of Science degree at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, Dr. Palomino earned his medical degree at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his internal medicine residency at University Hospital and VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and completed his cardiology fellowship at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, California. After completing his fellowship in 2003, Dr. Palomino practiced in solo and group practice throughout San Antonio and New Braunfels before joining Cardiology Clinic in early 2012. He now sees patients in Live Oak and Seguin. In addition to his role as Chief of Cardiology for Northeast Methodist Hospital, Dr. Palomino currently serves as the Cardiology Medical Director for Advanced Rehab and Healthcare of Live Oak. He is also the Medical Director for Legacy Heart Care, which specializes in enhanced external counter pulsation, a passive exercise therapy which can relieve symptoms of Cardiology.
