About Us

  • Aanand Geria, MD is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He has extensive experiences treating patients of all ages, ethnicities, and skin types. Dr. Geria has practiced in Manhattan and the Hudson Valley prior to opening up his own practice, Geria Dermatology, in Rutherford, NJ. As a dermatologist who strives to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in skin care, Dr. Geria believes that modern dermatological therapy, combined with a collaborative doctor-patient relationship, can alleviate virtually any skin condition. Dr. Geria has developed a multifaceted approach targeting the various aspects of skin aging such as discoloration, textural changes, and loss of volume and elasticity. He emphasizes the importance of understanding patient concerns and expectations to deliver the best possible aesthetic results. Dr. Geria believes the ideal outcome is natural appearing and subtle while boosting one’s self-esteem. Dr. Geria was born and raised in New Jersey. He earned his undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He went on to do his transitional internship at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Afterward, Dr. Geria completed his dermatology residency at Howard University Hospital and Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, DC. He was appointed chief resident during his final year of residency Dr. Geria is a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and before that, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at New York Medical College. Dr. Geria is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Geria is also a member of American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, New Jersey Dermatological Society, and Skin of Color Society. He has authored several articles in major peer-reviewed journals as well as lectured at local and national conferences.
