About Us

  • Todd is a Handy Dad and hes developed creative projects for moms and dads to assemble with their kids. In 2010 and 2012, Todd authored two books under the Handy Dad name. These books include step by step instructions for dozens of amazing toys, games, and other projects that families can create together. The feedback was very positive, except many parents told him that it was challenging to go out and get all of the supplies they needed for the projects. In addition, many families didnt have the tools necessary to cut the pieces of wood or assemble them according to Todds directions. So, Todd listened and created www.handydad.com.

Handy Dad helps parents make cool projects with their kids. Our toys engage children, striking the perfect balance between challenging their abilities and setting them up for success. Our current and future products allow kids to work with real tools, get them outside, and expose them to different elements of nature air, water, wood, wildlife. When all of the sawdust settles, Handy Dad toys deliver a huge payoff and continue to provide fun for years to come. Our toys are crazy fun to begin with. Add to that the fact that your family helped bring them to life, and the result is something truly epic.

We dont sell childcare and our toys wont take up space in your closet. Instead of an activity that keeps your child occupied for an hour or two before it sits unused for all of eternity, we provide an engaging experience for the whole family, and when kids are done making our projects, they cant wait to play with them.

Our products are strategically designed so that kids are able to complete them on their own with some adult participation. (For example, some steps may require an extra set of hands.) This allows parents to participate in the fun and come out looking like rock stars!
