• My name is Hannah L. Jacobson and I am a Philadelphia psychotherapist who specializes in helping people with grief and loss. This is some of my story...I grew up in a working class neighborhood of Philadelphia with limited resources, but with big hopes of attaining the classic American dream. Ozzie and Harriet, Father Knows Best, Barbie and Ken -- and even the Dick and Jane readers in school were the public images of that dream. Those aspirational icons represented what life should be and promised what it definitely would be. I expected nothing less.
