About Us

  • The first step in solving your water problem is to have your water tested. There are several different options available to you.We do testing here. You are welcome to drop a water sample off at our office, or we can make arrangements to pick one up at your property. There is no charge for this service. Test kits are available here or through your local water company or lab facilities. If you have an existing water test, we can use that to recommend equipment. Once we have tested levels of your particular problem, we contact you to discuss whether treatment is an option. Generally, what we see in the mid-coast Maine area are problems with iron, sulfur, hardness and PH. These problems are easily remedied. The type of equipment chosen to address your particular problem depends upon the parameters of your water test. This is why it is important to assign a number the level or severity of the problem. We are also experienced with the not-so-common problems of bacteria, e-coli, nitrates and nitrates, arsenic, radon and hydrocarbon contamination. People shop around when deciding where and what to buy for their whole-house treatment system, and rightly so. It will become a permanent fixture within your household. A major consideration with a treatment system is to ensure that it will be taken care of properly after installation. A water treatment system needs periodic adjustments and recharging. With that in mind, it is important to establish a relationship with whomever you purchase your system from. Your best choice is a knowledgeable and available professional. We offer service contracts on our filtration systems after they are installed, and we have found this service to be one that people appreciate. It insures that your investment is cared for properly. When you are ready to assess your water systems, you can proceed in any of the following ways: Call us for a water test. Drop your existing water test at our office. Fax a copy of your report to our office at 596-6239. Contact us via email to discuss test results or ask questions.Haskell's Water Treatment was started 35 years ago by Warren and Linda Haskell.
