• Welcome to Herz Tree Service, Inc. We are a family owned tree service based in Winterport Maine. Herz Tree Service serves municipal, government, commercial and residential clients in central, coastal and eastern Maine. As a company, we offer tree removal, thinning, pruning, power line clearing, power line maintenance, road side clearing, vista cutting, and lot clearing.Owner, Greg Herz, is a second generation tree service provider. As a young person, Greg learned the tree service business from his father and grew up doing tree work in New York. He worked for large and arborist companies both in and out of the state of Maine. Greg is very community oriented and volunteers his time. Some examples of his volunteer efforts are a family shelter, Sunkhaze Wildlife Refuge, projects for local fire department and assisting the post office with their flag. Prior to settling in Winterport they traveled some while Greg served in the Army. He was stationed in the Washington DC area and Germany. His military service provided him with the opportunity to achieve the rank of Sergeant and enabled him to serve in a leadership position.
