Howard studied design at New York's Parsons School of Design. Through his travels he discovered the beauty of French Country design. In the 1960s Howard Kaplan brought French Country style to the United States, importing antiques and creating French Country inspired design. Since then he has continued to create French Country designs for the inspired decorator and homeowner. Howard Kaplan's pot racks, lighting and bistro chairs have been featured in many magazines around the world such as World Interiors (England), Art & Decoration (France) and Capitol (Italy). In the US, he's been featured in House Beautiful, Architectural Digest, Good Housekeeping, People, The New York Times and many other publications.
