The Howarth House Bed and Breakfast has been open since October 2009, providing what we think is a beautiful setting to relax and enjoy a quiet stop on a journey. Better yet, stay a while and see what is available for events, entertainment, nature and sport. Located just above the campus of Fitchburg State University (a one minute walk), the university offers many additional reasons for a visit, whether it is for a parent event or perhaps for one of the many fine shows presented at Weston Auditorium. We are 2 minutes from the train to Boston, a short drive to Mount Wachusett, Mount Monadnoc or Mt. Watatic for skiing, hiking and other entertainment, and we are at a crossroads to New Hampshire and Vermont. The B&B offers up 3 luxurious guest rooms, each with en suite private baths. In the morning there is a fine full menu breakfast that will start anyone’s day off in a great way. The B&B main building is non smoking,though it is allowed in the “Fire Room” where the out building has a pool table and comfortable seating around a fireplace and is surrounded by firefighting photographs and memorabilia. Pets are allowed on a limited basis with prior approval.
