• Patients from throughout San Diego, California benefit from Dr. Steven Brody’s extensive education and experience in endocrinology and gynecology. From his practice, Infertility & Lifespan Medical Institute, Dr. Brody helps women and couples to achieve their best health and pregnancy with services including bio-identical hormones, IVF, egg donation and artificial insemination. He helps patients dealing with menopause, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and male and female infertility. Dr. Brody earned his medical degree at Washington University and went on to continue his education with an internship at Yale University, a residency at Stanford University, and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Baylor University.  Dr. Brody is the only recognized MD in the United States that is uniquely qualified with board certifications in four distinct specialty areas: including internal medicine, endocrinology & metabolism, obstetrics & gynecology, and reproductive endocrinology & infertility.  Dr. Brody offers patients compassionate care and treatment. Many of his patients stay with him following their fertility treatments because of the trusting relationships they develop with him. In fact, as his patients grew older, Dr. Brody extended his practice to include care for menopause and andropause with a combination of traditional, integrative, and complementary medicine. Dr. Brody co-authored “Endocrine Disorders in Pregnancy” while at Stanford. As a researcher at Cambridge, he wrote: “Principles and Practice of Assisted Human Reproduction” with Professor Robert Edwards, recipient of the 2010 Nobel Prize in Medicine.  Dr. Brody served in the military as a Lieutenant Commander (surgeon) in the U.S. Public Health Service. He strives to share his medical knowledge with doctors, as well as those in need. He has lectured in several countries throughout the world, including the U.S., Peru, Colombia, Ukraine, Russia, and Japan. In Moscow, he performed hands-on surgical demonstrations telecast to over 30 obstetrician-gynecologists. Dr. Brody is currently welcoming new patients.
