About Us

  • The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing is a place where exceptional people discover possibilities that forever change their lives and the world. With more than a century of established excellence in connection with the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University, the School of Nursing is both connected to the past and focused on the future. We attract students and faculty from around the world to collaborate, research, and learn the best practices to advance the science and art of nursing. Recognized as a leader by our peers, the School of Nursing was ranked No. 1 in the nation overall, along with two other schools, for Graduate Programs in the 2012 edition of U.S. News & World Report—compiled with input from deans, directors, and senior faculty from nursing schools nationwide. The School also ranks first nationally in Community/Public Health Nursing in the same publication, fifth in Nursing Service Administration and seventh in Family Nurse Practitioner programs.
