Kid City Academy (KCA) has been family owned and operated by Mitch and Jonella Salyers (and their five young children) since April 2009. Their goal is to provide excellent childcare, education, and enriching experiences to the children of the Johnson County community. KCA's programs include - Infant - pre-kindergarten We provide age-appropriate activities for all ages through year round. Thematic curriculum, lesson plans, and assembly times focusing on the alphabet, arts and crafts, calendar, fine/gross motor, math, music, name recognition/writing, Pledge of Allegiance, reading, science, Spanish, the weather. Full day kindergarten • Curriculum based on Indiana State Standards • Low teacher/child ratio • Monthly field trips • Weekly excursion to Franklin Public Library Before and after school care program • Transportation to/from Center Grove, Clark-Pleasant, Franklin, and Greenwood public schools • Dedicated homework time • Popcorn & movie Fridays! Summer Camp • Daily field trips for children who have completed Kindergarten (to include picking strawberries at Waterman’s Farm Market, ice skating, roller skating, swimming at local public pools, weekly movies at Canary Creek Cinema, etc.) • Several “in-house” field trips for children age 2 and up • Weekly outside water play for all ages
