Lamin-x Protective Films was founded by Chris Wadle in 2002 to create and pioneer an entirely new market of lens, paint, and surface protection for the automotive aftermarket products industry. Inspired by road racing's use of yellow headlights, Chris realized the market potential for providing translucent, colored films for automotive applications. He decided to use a quality material that would be thick and strong enough to protect lens surfaces, and withstand the abuse of endurance racing - all while being clear enough to not affect light optics. From that idea came an entire line-up of products that serve multiple, even endless purposes. Today we have hundreds of different vendors using and selling our films in various, creative ways. Accessory shops, light manufacturers, paint protection installers, graphic and tint shops, equipment manufacturers, race teams, commercial builders, and boat manufacturers are a few examples of our customer base. Our protective films are that versatile.
