About Us

  • WHAT You are invited to the grand opening at the Summit. Let My People Hear, Inc. is launching a new program for hard of hearing. HEAR NOW AT THE SUMMIT. David M. Harrison, Director and hearing loss support specialist, is offering twelve classes dealing with the challenges of hearing loss.

You Can Hear Now at the Summit. All meetings will be equipped with the latest Williams Sound FM listening devices and the state of the art telecoil loop system. The telecoil loop is for those who wear hearing aids with “T” switches or have cochlear implants.

Our goal is to create an atmosphere where everyone can see, hear and understand everything. We are a non-medical hearing loss rehabilitation center for all hard of hearing. Our audiologist will be available to conduct hearing tests by appointment only.

WHEN Classes will be held every Friday, from February 1 to April 26, 2013 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. February 1 is our grand opening for demonstration and enrollment day.

    Testimonials
"The class was helpful to me as a support - just hearing about and meeting others with similar problems was an encouragement. Also, knowing that there are options for help was valuable to me.... All parts of the class were beneficial in some way. For example, I am now personally more aware of how a hearing loss affects relationships. I feel that I am more sensitive to others with the same disability.... "
    ~ Phyllis Holwerda, Chattanooga TN

From the class, I learned a number of techniques to make communication better, as well as statistics and resources to help the hearing impaired.... One thing that helped me the most was learning to be a little more assertive in letting others know I have a hearing impairment, and what each of us can do to make communication (and thus) life much more meaningful; specifically, among other tips, to explain to people that I read lips; that what they say is important to me, and I need to see their face.... I was impressed with David's commitment in helping others, and the caring he shared with everyone in the classes.... I know this academy can help others...."
