About Us

  • Lincoln University was the first institution in the world to offer educational opportunities in the sciences and arts to African American males. Located in Jefferson City, MO, we have graduated such notable persons as Langston Hughes, Thurgood Marshall, Hildrus A. Poindexter and Roscoe Lee Browne.

    To this day, we provide exceptional accredited programs, including:

  • The College of Business and Professional Studies
  • The College of Liberal Arts, Education and Journalism
  • The College of Natural Science, Mathematics and Technology
  • Cooperative Extension, a research and school of graduate studies and continuing education

    As a part of the English Communication program, we have a radio station and TV station for those students seeking a career in broadcasting. Our radio station, WWLU 88.7FM, plays exciting programs developed by our students, professors and staff.

    Our TV station, LUC-TV channels 8, 11 and 25, provides an outlet for student creativity and expression. LUC-TV plays quality and entertaining shows developed by the Lincoln University community.
