  • Dr. Lobanoff offers refractive surgeries including LASIK and PRK using the latest generation excimer laser with the most advanced eye-tracking system available. He has performed thousands of LASIK surgeries and is certified to use the new wavefront technology for custom LASIK. He is able to correct farsightedness, nearsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia with LASIK. With this new technology Dr. Lobanoff can offer you a customized LASIK surgery specifically for your eyes with the highest degree of safety. Our LASIK center has such advanced technology that many patients who have been told by other doctors that they are not candidates for LASIK actually can successfully have surgery with Dr. Lobanoff. For those few patients who are not candidates for LASIK, Dr. Lobanoff is able to offer the new Visian ICL to restore their vision.

    Dr. Lobanoff also offers expertise in cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, corneal transplantation, amniotic membrane grafting, conjunctival transplantation, limbal stem cell grafting, pterygium excision, phakic IOL implantation and IOL exchanges. He has extensive experience treating corneal burns, infections, and trauma. He practices topical, no-stitch, small-incision cataract surgery to ensure patients excellent results and rapid pain-free recovery. He uses the latest wavefront designed intraocular lenses for cataract surgery as well as the new astigmatism correcting intraocular lenses. He is certified to use all of the new presbyopia correcting lenses (Rezoom, Restor, and Crystalens).

    Dr. Lobanoff completed his pre-medical training at Duke University before moving on to medical school at the University of Michigan. In 1995 he was awarded a Howard Hughes Research Fellowship and spent a year performing eye research at the National Eye Institute in Washington, D.C., one of the most advanced eye research facilities in the world. From 1998 to 2001 Dr. Lobanoff trained at the Emory Eye Center in Atlanta, Georgia where he learned the latest in ophthalmic surgical techniques and post-operative care. After Emory he went on to train at the University of Minnesota completing a year-long fellowship in corneal and LASIK surgery. Prior to moving from Colorado to Minnesota, Dr. Lobanoff worked in private practice and was on staff at the University of Colorado's Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Lobanoff lectures across the country on LASIK and corneal disorders.
