Lubliner Florist was established in downtown Portland in 1914 by the Lubliner family. The company is currently owned by Mardee Malarkey and operated by the owner and her colleague Dawn Kleiner. When Mardee began her classes at Western School of Floral Design in 1979, she immediately felt to be at home. She could now fully indulge her enthusiasm for creating works of art with flowers. As part of the program, she toured some of Portland’s leading florists, including Lubliner. Little did she know that 20 years later, she would be the owner. Dawn’s impressive talent for floral design is enhanced by her magnetic personality and brilliant smile. And in the summer, you might very well find flowers from her own garden in her beautiful creations.
