REGIONAL ACCREDITATION-Mars Hill Bible College opened its doors in the fall of 1947 and earned immediate accreditation from the Alabama State Department of Education. It maintained that accreditation until the state department stopped the practice of accrediting schools. Since 1971, the school has been fully accredited by the Southern Associa tion of Colleges and Schools (SACS), now known as AdvancED.
