About Us

  • An Inclusive Community of Amazing People Loving and caring for a person with memory loss means adapting to ongoing change and losses. For those with Alzheimer's and related dementia, each day can be filled with unfamiliar routines and people. Mennonite Village offers three stages of residential care. Mary's Place Foster Care Home for men and women with early stages of Alzheimer's and related dementia who are still active, but no longer safe to live alone and need minimal assistance with activities of daily living. Alzheimer's and dementia care at Lydia's House was created and designed for men and women with mid-stage or advanced memory loss as a natural extension of our continuing care retirement community. Lydia's House provides a safe, nurturing home where residents are accepted and their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs are met, both day and night. Professional staff at both residences receive special training to provide the unique type of care they deliver. A full-time nurse ensures each resident's medical needs are addressed. Our caregivers assist residents with personal care needs and cook, serve meals, and perform housekeeping and laundry duties. Daily activities are structured, yet flexible. Activities are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our philosophy is to give residents the freedom to be who they are no matter the stage of the disease process. We offer families the assurance of knowing we are meeting their loved one's ever-changing needs.
