• Midwest Laboratories, Inc. opened its doors for business as A & L Midwest Agricultural Laboratories on May 15, 1975 in rented quarters in Omaha, Nebraska, the first branch operation of the Memphis-based laboratory. Despite the tenor of the times, the fledgling company grew and prospered. In 1980, they purchased a building at 13611 B Street. In 1985, the company officially split with A & L Laboratories, but retained the name until June of 1993 when the company was emancipated from the A & L name and chose the current name of Midwest Laboratories, Inc. In the years that followed, Midwest has grown in breadth and quality of services as an environmental laboratory with a strong base in agriculture and industry. The business philosophy of the company is to operate from one central location using representatives to expand their reach. Today, the six-building campus houses over 80,000 square feet of laboratory and support area. Each laboratory maintains its own complement of staff, instruments and support personnel matched to the analytical needs of that particular department. As a whole, the staff at Midwest is dedicated to offering a broad spectrum of capabilities within the realms of Agriculture, Environment, Feed, Food and Fuel. Midwest services clients throughout the 50 states and continues to expand in the areas of new methodology development and state of the art instrumentation. Together our staff members have accumulated over 800 years of service to our company. Midwest Labs continues to maintain an environment in which we can excel in providing our clients timely, accurate and defensible data in an ethical manner.
