• Miss Murry’s design philosophy is to create chic, comfortable interior and garden sanctuaries on a shoestring budget. Overspending on design is so yesterday, even if you have boatloads of cash.
  
  Enchanted with the interiors and gardens of past and present, East and West Coast, low and high, French, Scandinavian and English classic design, Miss Murry is known for combining flea-market finds with hand-me-downs, family pieces, cast-offs, and straightforward utilitarian essentials. To that, she adds a dash of old Hollywood glamour.
  
  Miss Murry routinely starts with taming any garden chaos, using garden benches and garden umbrellas in exteriors for privacy, screening, romance and mystery. Watch her gracefully lure not just butterflies and birds, but hummingbirds with bird feeders (if you don’t have an outdoor cat). She often couples low maintenance, fragrant potted plants with oversized 20-gallon potted, blooming trees to create a garden oasis.
