About Us

• Since 1937, the Mississippi Public Health Association (MPHA) has strived to strengthen public health in Mississippi through leadership, advocacy and education. We provide our members with professional development and networking opportunities while also serving as the voice of public health in Mississippi. As an active affiliate of the American Public Health Association, MPHA works to maintain state and local funding for essential health programs and to provide an adequate and well-trained public health workforce. We promote activities, programs and policies that address chronic and infectious diseases and work to develop healthy Mississippi communities.
