Chord structure emphasized so that students know WHAT they are playing. Lessons also include a combination of technical exercises (depending upon the child's age), and theory along with music pieces they like. My approach differs for each student tailoring the lesson to the student's personality and (if switching teachers), to their current level and 'fill in the holes' that were not taught. I make the lessons fun, am a positive and encouraging teacher and will progress you according to your pace - not based on my expectations. Making music should be fun. If it isn't than why bother?
