About Us

  • Specializing in areas such as the spine, peripheral nerve, joints and muscles, Dr. Tom W. Ju joined the National Spine and Pain Centers in October 2019. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. In 2012, Dr. Ju completed a research fellowship from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Maryland. His research interests include the role of interventional pain in the opioid epidemic and focusing on the centralized pain spectrum including migraines, irritable bowel syndrome and fibromyalgia. The University of Michigan served as the site for his internship and residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in pain management.
