While in law school, Erick was elected President of the Student Bar Association by his fellow law students. Erick served as a Deputy District attorney for Kit Carson, Yuma, Phillips, Logan and Sedgwick Counties in Colorado. Erick has tried cases in both County and District Courts in Colorado. Erick entered private practice in 1999 and has specialized in DUI, criminal and family law matters. In 2001, Erick was an instructor regarding DUI law to fellow attorneys at the Colorado Bar Association's annual meeting.
