• Fourteen years after the Civil War came to an end, a small grocer in downtown Weatherford applied for a brewers permit, from the state of Texas. The permit request was granted and for a few short months in 1879, Parker County had a brewery. And then, as quickly as it came, it was gone. Through reconstruction, the onset of the nineteenth century, WWI, Prohibition, WWII, The Cold War, the new Millennium and right on up till today, Parker County Texas has yet to have another petition Austin for a Brewer's permit. ...Until Now! In the Early months of the year 2018, History was made! Two partners, bonded by the love of beer and the desire to bring Parker County what its longed for, opened the first Brewery in over 139 years.
