About Us

• I was drawn to dentistry because it allows me to help people and get them out of pain. The compassion and human contact, when combined with the mental rigor, in many ways make family dentistry an ideal job. Many of my patients wind up being friends. I also love being able to make people feel better about their appearance. Formal Education I graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 2006 and am a recipient of the Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award for providing superior performance in comprehensive oral care. I also studied at the Larry Rosenthal Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry. I have also been an Invisalign® Preferred Provider since 2009. I’m originally from Ontario Canada and studied neuroscience at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. Being passionate about dentistry, however, meant getting the best education possible. That meant NYU’s world-renowned College of Dentistry. I was fortunate to be admitted and soon after, my husband John left his law practice in Toronto to join me in New York at a firm in the city. My family Although I gained a great deal of experience from working at NYU’s clinic during school, upon graduation from dental school, I worked for two dentists in Hoboken, NJ. The experience I gained from their mentoring and watching the evolution of their practices really inspired me to think outside of the box when it came to starting my own dental practice. Family Dentistry My husband and I always knew that we wanted to have kids and wanted them to grow up in a place with the a small-town feel and lots of outdoors. Westfield, New Jersey was a perfect fit. In 2009, my son John, was born. That same year, I began putting the plans together for Parkview Dental of Westfield. As a new mother, I have a special interest in prenatal, neonatal and family dental care. Both at NYU and later in private practice, I enjoy being involved in community dental outreach that provides free services to youth and parents. For example, I have supported the Give Kids A Smile® program providing free exams and treatment to children in under-served, low income areas.
