In our state-of-the-art Rug Studio, we thoroughly and safely clean natural fiber textiles (wool, silk, and cotton) and synthetic textiles (nylon, olefin, and others). Our unique rug cleaning process usually involves a specially designed 5-step process. First, we will thoroughly inspect your rug on both sides and test the dyes in your rug for their colorfastness. We then use specialized machines to gently beat your rug from the backside to remove the dust that may have built up in your rug since it’s last cleaning. This allows soils to drift downward out of your rug. After gently removing the dirt and soils from your rug, we then use a submersion bath to clean your rug with mild rug shampoos and cool water. We never use hot water, harsh detergents, or high heat to clean your rugs. Your rug is then laid out flat to dry while air movers and dehumidifiers are used to control the drying environment of your rug. We then detail the fringe of your rug and give it a thorough final inspection. Finally, your rug is carefully rolled in brown paper and is ready for delivery. We know that every rug is different and we take that into account by carefully testing each rug and its dyes to assure that they will not bleed during our cleaning process.
