  • City Marshal/Police Chief Jim Lynch is pleased to announce that he will be seeking re-election in the April 4, 2017 Raytown Municipal Election. Chief Lynch has been employed by the Raytown Police Department for 36 years! He is the son of a Bridgeport, Connecticut Police Lieutenant. Chief Lynch graduated from Norwalk Community College in Connecticut with an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement in 1975. Then he came to Raytown and began his career with the Raytown, Missouri Police Department after graduating from the Kansas City Police Academy with a host of other past Raytown Police members including the current Raytown mayor. A message from the Chief: "As we continue our efforts to improve service, we are grateful for all of the support our community has shown to all of the first responders serving Raytown. It's been a pleasure to serve as Chief for the last 15 years. I am looking forward to the future and working with everyone in our community. I respectfully request your vote and support on April 4, 2017.
