About Us

• Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish is a welcoming Catholic community located in Lancaster. Our first parish Mass was celebrated on November 25, 1900. Soon there after in September 1902, Sacred Heart School opened its doors to provide a Catholic education for the children of the parish. The parish once again expanded in 1939, with the purchase of property on Walnut Street which became the convent for the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary(I.H.M.).
