Originally opened in 1879, then reopened in 1986. Today the Opera House again provides a modern Victorian setting for the performing arts. Performances include classical, jazz, mime, dance, ethnic, new music, blues, country/western, bluegrass, drama and musical theater, student recitals, summer theater workshops, a resident theater company, pop performers, and a children’s/senior citizens series. We are in compliance with the American Disabilities Act. The Association to Restore City Hall a not for profit 501c3 organization manages the historic opera house. Our mission is to present a variety of cultural arts programs of high artistic quality to enhance the public’s appreciation, enjoyment and understanding of the arts.
