• In 1993, I graduated from Texas Southern University (TSU) and began my career as a new pharmacist. Over the next 10 years, I worked in several areas of pharmacy as a Staff Pharmacist, Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist in Charge, Pharmacy Director, and Relief Pharmacist. During that time, I gained the knowledge and experience of pharmacy operations. In 2004, I attempted to purchase an existing pharmacy in the Pearland area; but, God knew that it was not my season. The deal fell through. In February of 2008, the God allowed me to accidentally bump my head on the Silestone countertop in my kitchen. The resulting injury led to testing that revealed a brain tumor that required immediate surgery. With the help of the Almighty, I received everything I needed to triumph. My family and closest friends were eager to help in any way that I needed. My most blessed memory was when I opened my eyes the day after my surgery. I remember thinking: “Wow, I still have my memory and I felt like myself; just had some pain. As each day went by, I became stronger and stronger. By the end of the year, God reawakened my desire to become a pharmacy owner. This time, I knew it was my season. As my pastor says, “What God has for you is for you!” He allowed me to cross paths with a Pearland Dermatologist and led him to extend an offer to sub-lease one of his examination rooms in Pearland office. God also sent another angel my way, Michael Robinson Sr. Mike designed and built all of my pharmacy workstations and installed my computer systems. I always kept God first and all of my challenges and obstacles were overcome. Everything fell into place. By the Grace of God, I opened Script Source Pharmacy on June 8, 2009; a year from the date of my brain surgery. Script Source Pharmacy is a customer service oriented, efficient, full service pharmacy that offers free delivery, non-sterile compounding, a customer loyalty program, special ordering, no hassle workers comp, and a convenient mail service program. We accept all major prescription plans: AETNA, CAREMARK/CVS, CIGNA, EXPRESS SCRIPTS, HUMANA, MEDICARE, MEDICAID, OPTUM RX, etc. Our pharmacy is able to receive prescriptions by phone, fax, or electronic submission; and works closely with medical professionals to ensure that prior authorizations and other problems are solved in a timely manner. Script Source Pharmacy has become an integral part of the Pearland Community. We provide sponsorship for local Little League teams; we co-sponsor quarterly Blood Drives with Omega Psi Phi; and we have been a member of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce since 2010. Now, I have the opportunity to provide excellent customer service in a nurturing environment that lets my customers know how much I care about them!!!
