• Our founder Lissette Palencia arrived in Los Angeles twenty four years ago from Barcelona. An avid traveler with a passion for art and culture, Lissette became aware early on that she had a special talent for interpreting infant behavior, and communicating with young children. She soon came to the realization that her life’s goal was to help parents facilitate healthy and loving relationships with their children through good communication. This basic idea was the foundation on which she created her highly successful nanny placement and domestic staffing agency, Sleeping Angels Co. A Life’s Work Dedicated to Education, Growth, and Family Lissette dedicates herself to improving the quality of infant care and education through teaching, supporting and mentoring parents, nannies and caregivers alike. Her philosophy is based on countless years of working with children, formal childhood education, and knowledge of different child development methods including RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) and Waldorf. Her childcare education and experience is applied to the nanny placement and domestic staffing process to ensure that families are paired with the best candidate. Passionate About Healthy Sleep Rhythms She began her training as a professional sleep consultant over ten years ago. Extensive independent study of child psychology, developmental stages, and parenting techniques has been invaluable in developing an in-depth understanding of the life cycles a child experiences during each stage of growth. Lissette gained experience in numerous areas of childcare and sleep consultation over the past 15 years. She has worked as a night nanny, nanny, sleep consultant, elderly care assistant, and baby nurse.
