• Dr. James Meyer is a board-certified OB/GYN who has almost 40 years’ experience in his field. At South Texas Women’s Health & Medical Spa, the doctor and his staff serve residents who live in the Uvalde, Texas area. He offers gynecologic office and surgical procedures as well as state of the art non-invasive aesthetic services. Dr. Meyer attended Texas A&M University before receiving his medical degree from Tulane University.He finished his residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 1978 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. In 2007, the doctor moved his practice to Uvalde, Texas. His interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. In-office procedures such as Essure for permanent contraception and Novasure for the management of heavy menstrual bleeding, as well as modern contraceptive technologies. Dr. Meyer began to offer aesthetic services to his patients in 2004. Since then his expertise has expanded to include facial injectables such as Botox and Juvederm, microneedling, platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP), and skin tightening technologies such as Venus Freeze and ThermiSmooth Face.
