About Us

  • Dr. Daniel A. Sterling is a member of a select group of physicians double board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He graduated from medical school with high honors and received numerous awards during residency including Resident of the Year and the Medical Staff President’s Award for Academic and Scholastic Excellence. He has been serving the New England community in practice in Manchester, New Hampshire for over ten years and opened an office adjacent to Elliot Hospital in April 2011. On November 3, 2014, Dr. Sterling opened a new, larger and more conveniently located office at 2 Washington Place, in Bedford. In 2016, Dr. Sterling was voted by his peers as one of New Hampshire's leading physicians in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, as reported by New Hampshire Magazine. Dr. Sterling treats patients from all over New England including the northernmost parts of Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire, as well as Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. He provides the entire spectrum of cosmetic surgery including breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift, abdominoplasty, liposuction, facelift, eyelids, rhinoplasty and gynecomastia surgery to name a few. He also performs the largest number of cosmetic labiaplasty procedures in the northeast. Dr. Sterling has a special interest in the treatment of massive weight loss patients. Having performed many gastric bypass procedures during his training at The Hospital of St. Raphael, he has extensive experience in the care of bariatric patients. He regularly speaks at the bariatric support group meetings at The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic in Manchester. He offers a wide range of procedures specifically indicated for massive weight loss patients including circumferential lower body lift, medial and lateral thigh lift, brachioplasty, mastopexy (breast lift), and face/neck lifts. Dr. Sterling performs complex reconstruction for skin cancer patients with a special interest in malignant melanoma and post-Mohs reconstruction. He also performs hand surgery, having had an additional year in advanced hand surgery training after residency. Dr. Sterling’s ongoing commitment to patient safety and satisfaction is evident in the personal attention and care he provides to each and every one of his patients. His interest is in excellent long-term results rather than just performing as many procedures as possible in the shortest period of time. From the initial consultation to the final follow up exam, he provides compassionate treatment tailored to the specific needs and desires of each individual.
