    Dr. Michael Stern is a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

    Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires an additional four years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. Dr. Stern trained at The Harvard School of Dental Medicine and received his certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery from the University of California, San Francisco. In addition, he obtained a Ph.D. in oral biology and has a keen understanding of oral wound healing.

    As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Stern has expertise in wisdom tooth removal, dental implant surgery, bone grafting and oral pathology (cysts and tumors of the jaws and mouth).He is also experienced in the management of facial trauma.

    Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

    Surgical Staff
    The surgical staff at Teton Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery are experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in administration of sedation, anesthesia and surgery. We also have a trained registered nurse (RN) on staff at all times. Dr. Stern and Bridget Mullen RN are certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). All office staff are certified in basic life support (BLS).
