At the Coop, our goal is to provide a setting for each child which ENCOURAGES his or her independence, promotes creativity, fosters self-confidence, and encourages LEARNING through interactions with other children and adults. We have a developmentally appropriate program, putting primary emphasis on social-emotional GROWTH. Learning takes place during free-choice activity time as well as more structured activities in art, music, science and literature. The classroom provides a non-sexist approach to ROLE-EXPLORATION and dramatic play and promotes RESPECT for cultural diversity.
